 Jun 11, 2008 The Development Studies Society (DevSoc) is an organization based in the University of the Philippines Manila, which aims to recognize and uphold the ideals of Development Studies majors. The organization engages in development works in different areas of the country, as well as holds other social activities such as symposia and discussion groups. As a multi-disciplinary organization, DevSoc upholds the principles of socio-economic awareness and political consciousness, and endeavors to be vigilant of the changing times in order to protect the rights and welfare of the students. It aspires to take part in improving the society through different means such as fora, symposia, charity works, social functions, and mass-based activities.
