Development Studies is a multi-disciplinal social science course, combining Economics, Political Science and Cultural Studies. Its objective is to provide the students with the theories and skills in the social, economic, political and cultural development of people.
The Development Studies Society (DEVSOC) is an organization based in UP Manila which aims to recognize and uphold the ideals of Development Studies Majors. DEVSOC shall act as the collective and representative organization of BA Development Studies students of the College of Arts and Sciences, UP Manila. It aims to foster camaraderie among Development Studies Majors. DEVSOC also prepares Development Studies majors for the pursuit of higher studies and to enrich their learning aspects through academically favorable means.
